The UM-Dearborn Virtual Private Network (VPN) is available to all University of Michigan students, faculty, staff, and sponsored affiliates who have a valid U-M uniqname and umich Kerberos password. It provides an encrypted VPN for all network-computing needs. VPN provides a secure computing expe login-course.engin.umich.edu provides access to software that is licensed for use from any network location. oncampus-course.engin.umich.edu provides access to software that is restricted to on-campus networks (excluding U-M VPN networks). Students should obtain information about which software library to use from their instructors. Eligible members of Michigan Engineering have access to many CAEN lab services remotely.; Both web-based and client services are available to access the CAEN Lab Software Environment (CLSE). Connect Using the VPN. Important You must have a network connection to connect via the VPN. Launch the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility client. Select UMVPN - All Traffic or UMVPN - Only U-M Traffic from the profile drop-down list. Click Connect. When prompted, authenticate using your uniqname and UMICH password. Complete Duo-Two-Factor authentication.
